Rate Increase: Clarification for Family Child Care Providers

FROM EEC:

Dear Early Education and Care Provider:

This message is intended to provide clarification only to FAMILY CHILD CARE providers who serve subsidized children.

The Department of Early Education and Care has received several inquiries regarding how the rate increase described in the email below relates to the recently agreed-to Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Family Child Care providers.  The rate increase described below is part of — not in addition to — any increases provided for under the proposed CBA. The proposed CBA is currently pending ratification and would cover the current Fiscal Year (FY14) as well as Fiscal Years 2015 and 2016.

If you have any questions related to the ratification process, they should be directed to Isabel Gonzalez-Webster, Director of Child Care Services at SEIU 509 at 617-924-8509, ext. 583 or by emailing her at igonzalez@seiu509.org.

All other questions regarding the rate increase should be directed to your lead agency or Child Care Resource and Referral agency.

Thank you.
